Sarawat

Such a devastating news to received 3 days ago.

This is the first market we've been intoduced to by our first Malaysian friend in Jeddah more than a year ago.

It has been our favourite groceries shopping  place since then. We called it pasar Filipina, more to Asian market, where I  usually get fresh paru, whenever I feel like having it with nasi lemak..also home made mee kuning, pisang to make pisang goreng, fresh serai at reasonable price, tauhu, Malaysian frozen fishballs, frozen durians and many more.

The vibes are laid-back and relax, different than any other  modern and busy hypermarkets you can find around Jeddah. You'll see familiar Asian faces here, make you feel like home. Once a while, u can sit and enjoy coffee at small cafes inside the building.

They have small and some conventional shops too, just like we used to have in Malaysia, like Arked MARA, but with big market inside.  Not to forget a small paintings shop and nurseries where they sell colorful flowers in pot for home-garden, just right outside the building.

Ma'assalamah Sarawat. Thank you for the good memories 😢
