Mission updates

hi blog.

im writing here to update my 2011 mission.

yes - to learn to sew.

do you remember how enthusiastic i was writing about the sewing class i've attended ... so that in future i can sew my own outfit?

and do you also remember the photo that i've put on - the result of the sewing class?*ehem* - the 'senget' baju kurung?

oh yess

i have to admit that i had never touch anything related to sewing ... yet.

but ehem.good news that i don't tell you blog is ...

I'm now have a sewing machine!!!

YAYYY!! *clap clap clap*

well,it is not new.

it doesn't have a perfect shape or shining metallic colour to amazed me,but i love her!

just because ... she will be my toy soonest.hehe.

i was planning to get a sewing machine right after i've completed the class so that i will not only keep the skills that i've learned ... and paid in the store.

so i was busy looking at one,on the internet,brochures,ask people etc.

i have one in mind,which i think suitable for my pocket and also for a beginner like me.

until i suddenly remembered that Ibu used to have one!

dadaaaa!

the last time i saw the machine was ehem..1996? when we were back in Kajang.

our previous maid, kak Minarti used to actively optimizing the sewing machine,SINGER to sew our clothes,hairbands,pillowcases,curtains,blankets..because she's a tailor!

and how we save a lot during raya because we have a free tailor!best,kan?

and what happened to the machine?

tak nampak bayang dah.

I straight away call Ibu and ask.
Ibu said it is still in the store,at home.Putrajaya.
Alhamdulillah.
but Ibu asked me not to hope too much on SINGER's condition coz she herself can't remember when was the last time it is being used.

so off we are to SINGER for service.
i called the mechanic almost every day!!
until the Uncle name Ah Soon said...

"lu jangan call saya banyak2 aa.nanti suda siap saya kasi call sama lu.itu mesin punya gear suda pecah,mau kasi order sama supplier dulu"

ok,lets cut the chase,
say hi to Ah Soon!! *wave* Hi Ah Soon!

and also to the new toy at home!

Ah Soon came to deliver our machine a day before i was admitted,which was last 2 weeks.
that is the day when i am excited,but end up shivering in the room and it is mr.husband who learned how to use the machine,boleh?
but anyhow,i am happy.

I am quite embarassed when Ah Soon asked for a thread.

'ada benang? saya mau kasi ajar cara pasang benang'

I looked at husband and he looked back at me.

dalam hati "alamak,aku ade benang ke.kat rumah ni ade ke?"
luckily i remember i bought a set of sewing box that day - just in case.

and again... "ada kain?"
thats where you can see my kain batik..haha.

we've been advised by Ah Soon to get a new one if SINGER doesn't work well in future due to her age.

"ini machine suda lama,boleh jahit simple2 saja..kalau mau beli baru,atau beli second hand,boleh call saya tanya.saya boleh tolong check ok ke tak.mesin kalau rosak lebih baik beli baru terus,sebab mau servis juga manyak mahal".

we went to Jalan TAR yesterday to get some other sewing items.
more thread,kapur,kertas gam,kertas keras..
thank you mr.husband for accompanying and reminding me to buy those stuffs.

kain?ohh dah beli dah haritu..cepat je!

so what's next??
the new design of baju kurung??
